Electrify Everything
By electrifying our heating, cooling, hot water, cooking, and car - and powering these machines with renewable energy like rooftop solar - we can all reap the financial, health and climate benefits that electrification brings. By gradually making these changes, we're not just saving money—we're creating local jobs, especially for our tradies. And Australia benefits too. Saul painted a picture of an Australia saving $1.7 trillion and becoming a renewable energy superpower.
Watch the recording here.
Saul remarked that City of Newcastle is "leading the world in leaning into this energy transition and electrification." We're proud of our community, and the thousands of households and businesses in Newcastle already investing in a clean energy future by switching to renewable energy and electrifying their homes and businesses. We're excited to continue working closely with our community to empower everyone - residents, businesses, schools, and community groups - to switch to renewable energy, electrify, and create a net zero future as part of our Empowering Newcastle program.

Collaboration Tools
There are loads of ways to collaborate effectively with your team. Here are a few free ones available to you:
Miro - infinitely zoomable canvas and web whiteboard for your team’s rapid ideation.
Slack - a space where teams can chat via text, get announcements, make requests, and have their questions answered (link to come).
Devpost - the home for our Innovation Challenge sharing information on schedule, teams, solutions, judging, and prizes (link to come.).
Prototyping Tools
Prototyping is vital for any scalable solution. Here are a number of tools you can use when prototyping your solution:
echo3D - a cloud platform for 3D/AR/VR that provides tools and server-side infrastructure to quickly deploy games, apps and content.
Prototype on Paper (POP) - helps you transform your pen and paper ideas into an interactive iPhone or Android prototype.
InVision - the digital product design platform powering the world’s best user experiences.
Balsamiq - a rapid wireframing tool that helps you work faster & smarter. It reproduces the experience of sketching on a whiteboard, but using a computer.
Testing Tools
No prototype is complete without a little testing. Utilise any of these tools to test if your solution can go all the way:
FlexUX - a flexible way to capture and use User Experience and Customer Experience information. It's specifically designed to capture user testing, expert review, field research and group feedback.
Crazy Egg - get all the information you need about your visitors in one report, instead of ten. Crazy Egg can show you which country your visitors are from, the site they were referred from, how long before they click and much, much more.
Web Development
Your solution could use some web integration. Use these services to rapidly create an attractive site for your prototype:
